  • No caffeine or alcohol for 24 hours before treatment.

  • If on Antibiotics please let me know.

  • Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for 24 hours (this is especially important for the lips).

  • If you have had cold sores in the past there is a risk that the needle punctures can cause another eruption (tablets or cream are available to help resolve this)

  • If bruising occurs, apply arnica to the affected area and apply a cold compress to help reduce this (make sure it's covered/wrapped). If you don’t have cold compress ice is fine but make sure it’s covered/wrapped up, do not use ice straight to the treated area as this can freeze the filler cause it set and end up with a lump!

  • The swelling may remain for up to a week, the other symptoms usually settle more quickly.

  • After lip enhancing injections, the swelling can persist for a week or more. During this time the lips can look uneven and so it is important to understand that the result immediately after injection will not always be the final result.

  • Please bare in mind some times top-up is needed this is to be done within 2-4 weeks after your first treatment, sometimes your body can reject the first time, so building up your filler is advisable, especially if you are new to fillers.

  • Drinking plenty of water is advisable as hyaluronic acid attracts water and prolongs longevity.

  • keeping out of sun/UV light also prolongs longevity.

  • Hyaluronic filler treatments may last from 6 months up to 12 months, depending on the area treated, age, skin type, lifestyle, metabolism, and muscle activity.

  • Lumps can occasionally occur when the dermal filler absorbs water from the body and swells. for the first 48 hrs hours after treatment these lumps can easily be massaged away (between finger and thumb). DONT massage lumps that you cannot see as this will only displace your filler and do this a few days after treatment.

BOTOX Aftercare Instructions

  • Try to exercise your treated muscles for the first hour after treatment (eg. practice frowning, raising your eyebrows, or squinting). This helps to work the treatment into your muscles. Although this may help your procedure outcome, it will NOT impact your treatment negatively if you forget to do this.

  • No strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.

  • Avoid any massage, pressure, or touching of the treatment area(s) for 4 hours.

  • After receiving Botox, wait at least 4 hrs, before lying down to avoid the risk of pressure and rubbing the area accidentally.

  • Avoid the sun and sunbeds for 24 hours.

  • Some swelling, redness, discomfort, and bruising can appear in the days after your treatment. This will resolve after a couple of days to a week after treatment. Do not hesitate to contact me for advice.

  • PLEASE be aware that reviews/ Top-up must be done within 2-3 weeks no LONGER, if this isn’t done the treatment will be full price. Would need to wait, and come back at 12 weeks when you are due.

  • To keep up with your Botox for optimum results it is recommended to have the treatment done every 12-16 weeks for best results.

  • Don’t drink alcohol/caffeine/energy drinks 24 hours before. (Including tea as they contain caffeine, coffees/latte/cappuccino/energy drink, etc)

I reserve the right to apply my own discretion if I feel that pre-procedure advice has not been followed.

  • If you are considering having lip fillers done will need to be 4 weeks before treatment (for lip tattoo treatment)

  • If you’re considering Botox please make sure it’s done 2 weeks after your treatment, or if after please make sure it’s 4 weeks after your Botox top up as it takes 2 weeks for the Botox to settle.

  • No caffeine on the day or energy drink.

  • Do not work out on the day of the procedure.

  • please note you will be more sensitive on your menstrual cycle.

  • Do not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor.

  • Avoid exfoliating/anti-ageing products around the brows for 4 weeks prior to the treatment.

  • If you get your brows waxed or tinted, get this done at least 1 week before the procedure.

  • For eyeliner/brow treatment please stop using lash/brow growth serum 2 weeks prior to your appointment, as this can affect retention, and please arrive with no lash extensions and contact lenses to be removed prior to treatment.

  • Please note if you suffer from cold sores I recommend getting Zovirax cream to apply 7 days before treatment & 7 day after, and to take antiviral drugs from your GP, as the needle stimulation can cause a breakout, I can’t perform the treatment if you have a break out so please inform me if this happens (lip tattoo procedure only)

  • After having a Semi-permanent makeup procedure it is extremely important to follow the aftercare advice. Failure to do so will give a poor healed result.

  • You may experience the following symptoms for 4 days:

          Minor swelling and redness.
          Mild tenderness.
          Itchiness in the eyebrow area.
          Dry flaking skin.
These symptoms are a normal part of the healing process.

  • After the treatment If you see any lymph for the first 24 hours please dab with a clean tissue. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph, and minimizes scabbing.

  • Before you go to bed clean your brows with cool boiled water with a clean cotton pad, repeat this 2 times a day for 3/4 days, pat dry with a clean tissue, then once dry apply balm twice a day for 14 days, then let your brows dry heal. Please apply balm very thinly size of a rice of grain and with clean fingers or with cotton buds, putting too much balm or overdoing it can push out the pigment. OTHER THAN WHEN CLEANSING YOUR BROWS AS INSTRUCTED DO NOT GET THEM WET!!!

  • You can apply the balm immediately after your treatment, throughout the day as needed. Apply before eating and drinking. Avoid any makeup until the area has fully healed. Make sure you apply your balm with clean fingers to avoid infections. After 2 hours of treatment, before bed clean your lips with cool boiled water, with a clean cotton pad 2 times a day for 3 days, pat dry with tissue then apply your balm.

  • If you accidentally get the area wet use a dry tissue and pat gently.

  • Do NOT apply any creams or makeup on your brows, NO sunbathing, NO sunbeds, NO saunas, NO getting wet, LIMIT a shower to 10 mins MAX and do not have the water too warm ABSOLUTELY NO exercise, NO makeup or cosmetics should be applied to the area. Keep your hair away from your brows to prevent infection.

  • DO NOT pick or scratch, as this can cause scarring and uneven brows, and pigment loss! DO NOT sleep on your face, or side as this can rub off any scabs.

  • No swimming until the area has completely healed. It is recommended to apply some vaseline to your brows when swimming after healing to protect the colour and stop chlorine/salt water from entering.

  • No Eyebrow waxing or tinting for 30 days after the treatment.

Important notes/HEALING HEADS UPS!

  • Remember, your selected colour will be stronger and more sharply defined for 10 to 14 days after application but as the healing process occurs the colour will soften and lighten, SO PLEASE DO NOT WORRY IF THEY LOOK TOO DARK, TO BEGIN WITH!

  • During the healing process, the pigment will fade/look patchy/uneven shapes/even disappear this is normal but will return around 4-8 weeks. PLEASE DO NOT WORRY IF THE COLOUR LOOKS LIGHTER UNDERNEATH!

  • Keep in mind that in many cases, some unevenness of colour is to be expected in some cases up to 60 % this is the purpose of the re-touch visit allowing us to fine-tune your enhancement, so this is important as its a two-part treatment, some times three depending on your skin and aftercare. However, if you do not attend your scheduled re-touch appointment within 8 weeks you will be charged for any further treatment. Cancellation notice is always 48 hours otherwise a surcharge may occur.

  • Any additional touch-ups within 8 weeks are at a cost of £50 if you need to attend the 3rd visit.

  • Once fully healed use a good quality sunscreen, as sun exposure & sunbeds will fade the pigment. Avoid harsh exfoliating or harsh anti-ageing cosmetics. Avoid wearing foundation over your brows or they will look patchy/ashy looking. Please inform the national blood service if you donate blood, as you may not be eligible or may need to wait 4-12 months.
